For all of you who are following and praying for Miss Zoey and her mommy and daddy, here is the latest. PLEASE pray for peace with this little family. Pray that Miss Zoey is as comfortable as she can be and in no pain. Thank you guys for following! You ALL are wonderful!

This has been a very long week. I really have no energy or desire to be typing this but here is the edited version. We had our meeting, discussed the severity of the situation and then made plans to go to Memphis. We wanted to be with our neurologist and have him to look at her one final time to make sure that there was nothing else that we could do. We tried to go to Memphis and after 4 days of waiting for a bed there was finally one available. When the crew that was transporting us came to pick her up she was not stable enough to go. Her heart began to beat irregularly and her breathing worsened almost immediately. We decided that God did not obviously want us in Memphis. Our neurologist asked that another MRI be done to see if indeed things were progressing. Zoey had to be intubated and put a ventilator. She is still breathing on her own. She just needs a lot of help. She underwent the MRI. We had high hopes for great results but they were much worse than even we expected. The white matter or myelin was almost completely gone. There was also a significant deterioration of normal brain tissue and mass. This is a progressive disease, meaning it is only going to get worse. We have spoke with our neurologist as well as the doctors here in length about this condition and what exactly to do for Zoey.Derick and I have decided not to put her through anymore than she has already gone through. There is no cure for this or even any effective treatment. We have hope and faith that she could still make it but we are not going to have her go through a tracheotomy and ventilator for home use. This would not be for Zoey, it would be for us, so we did not have to go through the hurt and pain or loosing our daughter.This indeed is the hardest thing we have ever had to go through. Our emotions change from one minute to the next. I am hysterical and crying pretty much over everything…I cried a lot to begin with though. Derick and I have breakdowns and then do ok for about an hour or so and then the cycle starts up again. We are trying to get family here to love on Zoey before we extubate her. We plan on taking the tube out Friday and then will start comfort measures so there will be no suffering for her. We have not given up on the miracle and Derick and I keep reassuring the other, that these are only doctors….they are not OUR GOD!!! Please pray for us. Please continue to pray for Zoey and her miracle. This is not too big for God. We have to have faith that it is still possible. We love you all. Thank you for your support.

Hi guys!

Ok, I was going to write a REALLY funny blog today but, I am not feeling quite up to it. Yesterday, I received an email from someone who has become quite a good friend and is an amazing photographer! Not too long ago she shot an adorable princess for me to put on my site named Zoey. Zoey's mother is a friend of hers that she and her husband BOTH are in need of your prayers. I ask that all of you who have children take a quick second of you time to STOP and take a minute to remember how greatly appreciated a prayer would be if this was your child. Then, take a second and just thank GOD for your healthy children. PLEASE take 5 minutes to read this little angel's story.Not sure where really to begin. I apologize for not updating quickly and as things happen. I probably should though. I want everyone to know what is going on so prayers can be prayed but sometimes I just do not have the strength to do it. I definitely am in a funk, a slight depression and just completely overwhelmed. I am unsure of how to put these feelings into words. Zoey has been moved up to the PICU (pediatric intensive care unit.) On the floor her breathing was becoming very labored and she was working so very hard to breathe. Her oxygen levels were dropping and the pneumonia was not getting any better. Her lungs were full of mucous. The left lung was especially bad and she was barely passing any air at all through it. She was brought up the unit to be placed on a CPAP machine. This would help to keep her lungs open with positive air pressure and give Zoey a break. This way she did not have to work as hard to breathe. Before we came up the doctor had a talk with me. A talk that I will never forget. He explained to me that he spoke with Zoey's neurologist in length about her condition. Zoey is very sick. Yes, she does have infantile spasms. Yes, she does have partial focal seizures. These are horrible conditions alone not to include everything else that is going on with her. Her brain is not developing correctly. There is something underlying that is causing these problems and we may never know what it is and in turn never know the proper way to treat it. With all that said, things look bleak. Zoey’s neurological condition and status are determining the rest of her future. I know all of these things. I have taken the time to prepare myself for the worst but I never thought that this would actually happen No matter how hard you try to prepare yourself for something like this, it will never make it any easier. I never thought I would be discussing what Zoey’s treatment plan would be. He told me that Derick and I needed to discuss how far we wanted to take this and what exactly we were willing to put Zoey through. I literally felt the life sucked out of me at that moment. I do not want to make those decisions. This is my 5 month old daughter. She has not had a chance to live her life. She is not 90 years old and I can say that she has lived her life to it’s fullest. But at the same time, what about her quality of life now. Since day one Zoey has rapidly declined. She sleeps and seizes. Besides her first day of life, I have never had a moment where I felt connected to her; where I felt like she was in the world with me. I have never had her look into my eyes and I know that she saw me or was a part of my world. She has fought so hard to be where she is today. I have never seen her awake to enjoy the world around her. I wonder if she even knows that she exists. She is never awake or able to move any part of her body. This is no life for her. Oh the pain…I am so scared. I am scared to loose my child. These have been the longest 5 months of my life. It seems like I have been doing this for years but at the same time it seems like just yesterday I was pregnant and giving birth to my daughter.Our time in PICU has been overwhelming and we have had a couple of scares. We actually had to change a to Bipap machine instead of a Cpap. A bipap helps with inspiratory function as well as expiratory. She is breathing on her own but she is working very hard to do that and not talking deep enough breathes. She will tire out very quickly at this pace and that in turn can cause other problems. We have almost had to intubate twice but each time Zoey has pulled out on her own (or by the strength of god.) She is so strong and such a fighter. She has fought through some very rough times and I am sure that there are more to come.Derick is here with me now. He came up Monday and is going to stay until Thursday. We have a family meeting scheduled tomorrow with the doctor, social worker, case manager and nurses. This will be to discuss long term care for Zoey. This will include palliative care options, intubation, a tracheotomy and if any of this will help. From the neurological stand point, Zoey is not going to get any better. Her brain is not developing at all. There is no communication between both sides and there is very little myelin. Without the development of myelin she will not live. If there is not normal function in the brain, there is not normal function anywhere else. She is rapidly declining and has been doing so since birth. She has lost a lot of function. They only expect this to get worse. I have no idea what to do. I want to fix all of this. I want to yank her up out the hospital bed and take her to another hospital. I want another opinion. I want some one to be able to tell me what is wrong with my daughter and what we can do to fix it. I talked with Zoey’s geneticist on Friday. We discussed how we have tested for a lot of things, over and over again, and everything is negative. He does still believe that it is something genetic and that we just may never know what. I am not happy with that answer. I can’t fathom loosing my daughter because no one can figure out what is wrong. Well, what about the next child that this happens to? You don’t just say “oh, we had that happen to a girl once before.” I keep replaying in my head what I could have done differently, where I could have taken her, what I did wrong?? The geneticist says that it is no one’s fault and there is nothing that we could do to change this. Derick and I just carry an abnormal gene and they met up at the wrong place. He told us that if we choose to have more children there is a 25% chance this could happen again. Another thing that makes me very upset but I will not even get into that now. Derick and I have no clue what our decisions are about Zoey’s care. I don’t want to loose her and neither does he. At the end of the day, we want to know that we did everything possible for a our little girl. We want to make sure that we left no stone unturned and that we never gave up. But then there comes a point when we don’t want to see her go through this anymore, where our heart hurts for her and where we feel selfish for putting her through all this. I would never be able to live with myself though, knowing that I just gave up. I just want to crawl up in a hole and not come out. Derick has mentioned that he would just love to run away and not come back. The situation is just too hard and overwhelming to deal with. I can’t believe that people actually go through this everyday. I hurt for everyone that has to make these decisions. I want to ask that you continue to pray for Zoey’s miracle and COMPLETE healing. “Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my father in heaven. For where two or more come together in my name, there I am with them.” Matthew 18:19-20. I am still clinging to hope that this can all change and that our God will perform a healing and miracle in our Zoey’s life. I ask that you pray for strength for Derick and I. That we are able to walk by faith and that we continue to place one foot in front of the other. I apologize again for not updating. I am sorry for not calling or answering my phone. Some days I just can’t do it. I just can’t go through it again. We love you all and thank you for your support.Thank you for taking the time to read this story of an adorable angel who is fighting so hard as we speak just to breathe. Please remember her parents who are faced with this decision about something that is to most of us, UNIMAGINABLE. A VERY Sad Day...

Wow! What a day. For some of you, the news that the remains found in Florida are in fact those of little Caylee Anthony is just that. For me, it was almost like losing a family member or child of my own.

For 6 long months now, I have religiously followed Nancy Grace and her amazing determination and love to continue the search for this little baby. Have I missed an episode since we first learned of this missing child? NOT A CHANCE. Some nights, I was known to have watched the same episode at 8, 10, 1 and yes, 3am. Yep! While making pettis, I watched every detail of this tragedy unfold.

I am not sure if what caused the obsession was that I am a mommy of 5 with my youngest daughter being very close in age or, if it was my admiration of someone like Nancy Grace having so much love for a baby that she never even knew. What an amazing little mommy Nancy Grace is. The larger part of me believes that the wonderful love for her babies and their miraculous story of survival is what kept her pursuing this case. Thank GOD she did.

It may seem silly to some of you that I am even writing about this but to those of you who did follow this as close as I did, it's a SAD, sad day for so many of us. I guess that I am just asking all of you for prayer as this family and parts of the world begin closure to this tragic story. I will not go into my opinions of what happened to this baby however I can only pray that justice will be SERVED to the ONE who caused all of this. NO CHILD deserves to be thrown out the window like they were last weeks cup of McDonald's coffee that keeps rolling under your feet because you were just to lazy to pick it up.

With all of this being said, while you all are putting little Caylee in your prayers, I ask that you pray for not only George and Cindy but, the rest of us who have been deeply affected by this little angel's loss.

To the Orlando PD, the FBI crime Lab, Leonard Padilla, Tim Miller, Equua Search, the THOUSANDS of you who help look for this baby, those of you who spent your last 8 days on your hands and knees sifting through everything to complete this little body so that ALL of her may rest in peace now, everyone involved in helping and MOST OF ALL Nancy Grace who if it weren't for, this little baby would have NEVER gotten the proper burial and rest that she will now, GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU! You are amazing people who so generously put your lives on hold so that the day would come where this baby can now spread her wings and fly. I am SURE all of you have a new Angel that will be looking over all of you.

As for Nancy Grace, you are TRULY a blessing from GOD to that Anthony family. I am not sure if anyone would ever take the time to say it but YOU have been that baby's Angel for the last 6 months. You have looked over her and her best interest and made it a point to make it the forefront of what's on ALL of our minds. Your little Lucy and John David have NO IDEA what an amazing mommy that they have. Thank GOD for people like you!

So..... Last night Aron and I had this misunderstanding. See, I thought that he had brought Brookelyn downstairs and he thought that I had brought Brookelyn down. A Need For Prayer

You all know that I have said that ANY time you are wanting to start a prayer chain, I am MORE THAN WILLING to run it here. Prayer is power and all of you, my amazing customers, family, friends have the ability to generate prayer from people that Sheila could NEVER reach. I’m tired. I’m overwhelmed. I need your prayers. I’m in disbelief. I just found out tonight, that my recent CT scan has a new spot on it. Where my ovaries once were. My CA-125 was 5 in Feb, 10 in June, 15 in July. Still way below normal, of 35 & below, but on the increase. These 2 factors has led my doctor to believe that I am having a recurrence. The spot is 1-1/2 inches. I called my original doctor, Dr. Moller, in NM. She has suggested a PET scan(full body scan) to determine if there are sprinkles elsewhere, or just this one spot. One spot would be good. It would involve surgery to remove it. We’d want to do this quickly, not giving the cancer(if it is) a chance to grow. As I said, I’m just tired right now. I really believed God was using my story to help others to believe that He does miracles. I thought I would be cancer free the rest of my life. And I could be. This could all be just a fluke. You hear of stories, where there is a spot, but they go in, and nothing is there. So, now I’m asking you to pray that I am cancer free. And that you join me in believing I am still a miracle, still cancer free. Pray for me to have peace and wisdom. For the insurance to pay for a PET scan. I will keep you posted over the next week or so, of what the next step is. I am getting the results of my latest CA-125 on Friday. Thank you for your prayers. I really don’t know what or how to pray right now. But I just wanted us to make a loud noise to God, asking for continued healing in my body. It’s been three years, since my original diagnosis. It’s also just a reminder of how short & precious life is. And that every chance you get, hug, kiss, touch, and love someone in your life. It’s about people, not about things and places and doing. Please ask others you know to pray that I am cancer free, and this spot is nothing but a weird spot. I don’t know what the next step is, when it is, but I know that I will step into this future with God holding me in His arms. Love, Sheila

Ok so...

Mommy and Daddy's baby started Pre-K last week. To my surprise, Gaven handled it like a BIG BOY! I was a wuss and cried (for a minute) but, Gaven was GREAT!

Mommy and Daddy BOTH took him to school for his 1st BIG day! He was more excited that Daddy was there than me but is that really a HUGE surprise? So much for those stretch marks. Daddy's KING and Mommy just incubated me. Hahahahah

I wouldn't have it ANY other way though!

YES, HE NEEDS A HAIRCUT!

YES! It did take me 10 minutes to walk away from that damn screen.

AND YES! It's ok that I cried and then CELEBRATED when I got home to ONLY ONE OUT OF FIVE CHILDREN FOR THE DAY!

His teacher's name is Ms. Tasha, his friends are Blake and Scotty, NO THERE ARE NO HOT GIRLS IN HIS CLASS, he does NOT have a girlfriend, his teacher thinks he should only come 2 days a week because he is "REALLY SMART, and will get bored," maw-maw and paw-paw are going to eat lunch with him each tomorrow there is (???) and he can't wait to go to school next week to show Ms. Tasha his NEW FREAKING SKETCHERS!!! Hope you enjoyed this "story" as much as we have 10 zillion freaking times!

Miss Thing's Boutique And Children's Healthcare Of Atlanta

Let me start off by telling you how amazing Children's Healthcare Of Atlanta is...

A few months ago, I teamed up with an incredible person named Laura with CHOA. After talking back and forth for quite a while, we decided to get together and put on an arts and crafts time with any child that wanted to visit us during that time!

To BOTH of our surprise, it was a HUGE hit and SO MANY amazing kids turned up! Each of these children were such angels in their own little ways. It is absolutely incredible how strong headed, open minded, and determined these babies are!

Just to give you an idea of how deep these children can get, I will re quote some of the phrases that they painted on their little tiles. One said Live Well, Love Much, and Laugh Often because you never know when God will bring you home. Others talked much about the only thing that is really important in life is that you live each day to the fullest.

These kids were so precious. I think that if just half of the world could have only 5 minutes with these children to see how hopeful, loving, and open minded they are, this world would be one BIG FAT AMAZING PLACE!

To all of those babies and their families that came to join us on July 11th at Scottish Rite, YOU ALL ARE MY HERO'S! I sure hope EACH of you come back to see me soon! I will be back for more fun and crafts VERY soon!

I Miss My Babies!

Ok! I came across these the other day and had a kid fit!

I MISS MY BABIES!!! Hunter came home, finally however, he is on his way out the door again in less than 2 weeks AGAIN! Trinity and Cameron are at Nana & Pop-Pops until Miss Thing's dance camp is over. I talked to her today and she is SO EXCITED!

Daddy's Father's Day

Ok! Father's Day was a little different for us this year since we only have Brookelyn and Gaven until almost July. (Well, Hunter will come home for 2 weeks and leave again!) Anyhoo, rather than writing a buch of crap to read, I will let the pictures tell the story! Enjoy! Angie

If you know me, you know that I am a very spiritual person. You know that I believe EVERYTHING happens for a reason. Well, with opening my new boutique, I have been paying a little more attention to my site meter and where folks are coming from.

I got to "snooping around" to find that I keep getting hits from a site in Texas. As I researched a little harder, I had been getting a LOT of hits from there! Being in the business, I like to thank those who send me customers so I followed the link to this site. It was a personal blog kept up by this sweet little mommy named Amy! The more I read about her and her precious children, the more I realized, this "Amy" is a lot like me.

After reading a very troubled story, this "Amy's" story was weighing tremendously on my heart. She and her husband are making a very loving, amazing decision in their lives and I felt she needed a little encouragement and to know that a perfect stranger thought a lot about what an awesome little mommy she was! So...I wrote her to tell her exactly what I thought! To my surprise, not only did she write me back but, this morning she had posted a new blog about me contacting her and how much it meant!

You see, GOD puts us in each other's lives no matter where you live. For once, being nosey got me to a "happy place!" Not only did it help me find an incredible little mommy to her soon to be 5 children, but it gave me a brand new friend! A friend that is in a very same world that I was in in the past with a child and a HUGE decision that would wind up being yet another HUGE BLESSING from GOD!

I ask that ALL OF YOU pray for Amy, her hubby, her 4 beautiful children, and the new little angel that will be leaving a very confusing enviornment and entering a brand new world with a "New Mommy" as my family likes to call it! Although I have NEVER met Amy or for that matter, talked to her on the phone, I know this precious little girl will have one HECK of a new Mommy, Daddy, and 4 siblings! GOD Bless All of them!

Thank you AMY for becoming a great new friend. Everything will be okie dokie and ANYONE who can take on this challenge is a REAL HERO in my eyes! You WILL be blessed in abundance! I know I have!

If you know Brookelyn, you know she LOVES the water. I think she gets that from Mommy! So, Aron and I bought her her "OWN" Big Girl swimming pool the other day.

After about 15 minutes I had had enough of Gaven begging to go swimming with "Brookey Boo" (which is what he calls her by the way) so I gave in! Tell me who you think is having MORE fun! Actually, it was our babysitter that had the most fun. I think you see her "pink" leg in one of the pics! Here's your pics I promised Britt-Britt!

Well, we have FINALLY finished out ALL 3 BOYS baseball season. I have just showed a lot of pics of Hunter so I thought, why not show where it all starts...

Little League

Shall I start off with Tiny Tots? Gaven's league consists of kids ages 3&4. You know! The league where cartwheels, picking grass, and "I have to go pee-pee" is still funny AND accepted.

With Gaven it was "I HATE baseball to oh look, it's a firetruck, to I love baseball, to I BUSTED that ball, and then the following Saturday back

to IHATE baseball!" Never-the-less...

Gaven really picked it up well and LOVES it. His team was

"The Little Lizards."
